A Lawrence man has been apprehended following a high-speed chase that took place late at night in Maine. The incident unfolded when authorities attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the driver, identified as 30-year-old Joshua M. Leavitt, refused to stop and instead accelerated away from the scene.

The chase, which reached speeds of up to 125 mph, lasted for several minutes, with Leavitt weaving in and out of traffic on the interstate. Law enforcement pursued him while ensuring the safety of other drivers on the road. The pursuit ended when the suspect lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch in the town of York.
